ABC Garden Services is an edible landscaping business based in the Cowichan Valley.

We are a small team of highly skilled horticulturalists and carpenters who provide customized garden care and basic landscape constructions for residential, rural, and commercial properties, with a focus on food production, native plants, and eco-logical practices.

Owner Laura Boyd-Clowes is an experienced landscaper and plant-lover. She has been an active participant in Cowichan Valley’s farm and food community since moving here in 2017 to work as manager for Cowichan Green Community’s “Kinpark Youth Urban Farm”, a permaculture demonstration site, community gardens, and educational market garden in downtown Duncan.

With her partner Luca Granata, Laura is Co-owner of Wishing Well Farm, a small market garden in North Cowichan. For many years they were an active Producer for the Cowichan Valley Co-operative Marketplace (aka Cow-op.) Laura also served as Community Facilitator for the co-op, which provided valuable opportunities for hands-on learning from our region’s best food growers, farmers, and local food leaders.

She is an energetic worker and lifelong learner whose passion for plants, natural farming, and resilient communities lead her to complete a Masters of Science in Ethnobotany. Laura currently runs the Primary Centre gardening program at Queen Margarets’ School in Duncan.
